Perfect Winter Beef Stew
Someone asked if I would post the recipe, so here it is.
This recipe is from Kraft. I like to make it in the slow cooker.
- 3/4 cup Zesty Italian salad dressing
- 2 lb. stewing beef, cut into 1" cubes
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 6 carrots, sliced
- 1 1/2 lbs. potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks
- 1 can (19 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (10 oz.) beef broth
- 3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 large onion, chopped
- opt. 1/2 tsp. thyme
