Easy Christmas Tree Brownies

Image
You know that excited feeling you get when you walk down the Christmas aisle and its Just. So. Sparkly. You just want to buy everything? (It cant just be me who feels that way?) When I was in university, my sister and I shared a townhouse and the first Christmas we spent there together, we went to the hardware store and bought a Christmas tree, tinsel and tons of ornaments to put on it. And I mean TONS of ornaments (and lights for that matter). It was the first time we were let loose down that sparkly Christmas aisle, and we fell in love with everything we saw. There wasnt an empty branch on the whole tree by the time we were done! We were so proud of our tree that we called up my parents, and even our grandparents, and invited them over for dinner that night, just so they could admire our very first Christmas tree. It was a lot of money for us since we were both still students, but it made us SO HAPPY. Its 15 years later and thats still the tree that my husband and I put up, al...

Fudgy Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies

Image
These Fudgy Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies are SO delicious, you might cry. Theyre a rich and decadent brownie recipe topped with a gooey peanut butter. Once baked theyre so fudgy and peanut buttery youll have to eat more than one. This is my standard brownie recipe that Ive been using for about a year now. You can make them in a 913? pan for a thinner brownie, or in a 99? pan for a thicker and extra super fudgy brownie. You can frost them with orange frosting, or coconut frosting. You can stuff them with Oreos or make them into truffles. This is the BEST brownie recipe! The recipe includes three kinds of chocolate: melted unsweetened and semi-sweet, and cocoa powder. You can use regular cocoa powder, or you can use Dark Cocoa Powder. If youve never used Dark DO IT. It gives it such a rich and fudgy flavor, seriously youll cry. The peanut butter topping is simple to make. Its made with powdered sugar, peanut butter, butter, and vanilla. The peanut butter mixture by itself tast...
