Salad: 1 box bow tie pasta 1 rotisserie chicken, shredded 1 bag fresh spinach 1/3 cup chopped green onions 1 can mandarin oranges, drained 1/2 to 1 cup cashews or sliced almonds 1/2 cup craisins (optional) Dressing: 1/2 cup oil 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/3 rice vinegar 1 tsp sesame oil 3 Tbsp sugar 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated 1/4 cup sesame seeds Marinate shredded chicken in dressing at least 2 hours or overnight. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and cool. Combine with salad ingredients and add chicken and dressing. Mix and enjoy!

Pasta, Green Beans, BLT salad and Garlic bread! 1 (12 ounce) package pasta* 1 pound ground sausage, cooked and drained 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed 2 eggs 1/4 cup olive oil 5 cups tomato and roasted garlic pasta sauce 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain. Place the cooked pasta in a medium bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and oil. Toss the pasta with the cooked spinach, egg mixture, and sausage. Cover the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish with 1/3 of the pasta sauce. Pour half of the pasta mixture into the baking dish, and cover with another 1/3 of the pasta sauce. Sprinkle with half of the Cheddar cheese and half of the mozzarella. Chicken and Pasta with Roasted Tomato, Onion and Garlic

I was looking for a casserole recipe using chicken and pasta. After looking through dozens of recipes and searching my freezer and pantry, this is what I came up with last week. It is very simple and the roasted vegetables add the perfect smokey flavor. 1/2 to 1 pound pasta, spaghetti or linguine 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved lengthwise 4 cloves garlic, left whole 1 yellow onion, sliced thick 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups milk 4 cups Colby Jack cheese, shredded 2 cups chicken broth 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/4 teaspoon cayenne* Salt and black pepper, to taste 4 cups shredded cooked chicken Lightly grease a casserole dish, and line a baking sheet with foil. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water. Drain and transfer to casserole. Place the tomatoes, skin side up on the baking sheet, along with the whole garlic cloves and onion. Marcella Hazan's Tomato Sauce

My kind of recipe. The New York Times has this to say about it: "This is perhaps the most famous recipe created by Marcella Hazan, the cookbook author who changed how Americans cook Italian food. It also may be her easiest. Use your favorite canned tomatoes for this and don�t be scared off by the butter. It gives the sauce an unparalleled velvety richness." 2 cups tomatoes, in addition to their juices (for example, a 28-ounce can of San Marzano whole peeled tomatoes) 5 tablespoons butter 1 onion, peeled and cut in half Salt Combine the tomatoes, their juices, the butter and the onion halves in a saucepan. Add a pinch or two of salt. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Cook, uncovered, for about 45 minutes. Stir occasionally, mashing any large pieces of tomato with a spoon. Add salt as needed. Discard the onion before tossing the sauce with pasta. This recipe makes enough sauce for a pound of pasta.

So Rachel and Lisa were discussing pasta recipes that weren't made with tomato-based sauce. This is one of my go-to recipes since Sarah doesn't like "red sauce" either and it is really easy. But if you don't like onions, this isn't for you. I made the sauce in an oven-safe pan to cut down on dishes to wash later. Adapted from  Stephanie Cooks . 2 cups of uncooked penne pasta 1 to 1.5 cup of chicken broth 1 packet of Lipton's Onion Soup mix 1 shallot, finely diced 2 cloves of garlic, smashed 4 tablespoons of cream 1 tablespoon of flour 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese 1 tablespoon of EVOO Directions- 1- Boil water for your pasta. While the noodles cook, prepare the rest of ingredients. 2- In a saucepan, heat the EVOO.
