Peanut Butter Kisses

Happy Cookie Friday!  These fun and delicious cookies are a total kid favorite, but adults can�t resist them either.  Who doesn�t love peanut butter and chocolate?   No chocolate kisses on hand?  Simply press an x with a fork into the top of each ball of dough before you bake them or stir 1 cup of chocolate chips into the dough for peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and bake as directed.
� cup butter
1/3 cup peanut butter
� cup sugar
� cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
� teaspoon salt
44 chocolate kisses, unwrapped
* extra granulated sugar for rolling dough balls in

 In electric mixer, cream butter and peanut butter.  Add sugar and beat until creamy.  Beat in egg and vanilla.  In separate bowl combine flour, salt, soda. Add to butter mixture and mix well.  Roll dough into 1 inch balls and roll into granulated sugar.  Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 8 minutes.  Remove from oven and top each cookie with a kiss and return to oven to bake for 3-5 more minutes, or until each kiss is slightly melted.  Remove from oven and cool.

DIY Water Balloon Flip Flops!

Easy and Fun DIY Water Balloon Flip Flops! S imply tie water balloons in a knot around the flip flop straps!  We liked the rainbow color pattern... Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. Be creative and have fun!  F or my daughters birthday this year we made these bright and fun flip flops at the party. Banbukeyo Hithi ( Breadfruit Curry)

For ages I kept meaning to try one of the Hithi recipes. Hithi means bitter but this is not a bitter curry. Its called hith i because its uses a spice known locally as hithi damui . My mum kept saying its difficult getting hithi damui you can only get it from the local ayuvedhi stalls until my sister discovered after seeing the spice that it was in fact ajwain/ carom seeds . I have seen ajwain seeds in a local shop and also in some of the Indian specialty shops. Ajwain seeds although it looks a lot like tiny cumin seeds  has a slightly different taste. There  are two kinds of hithi , one is this banbukeyo ( breadfruit )  hithi and the other is maalhoskeyo hithi ( plaintain).
