Mustard Sauce

Eat it with your sausage,
Eat it with your ham,
Put it in a sandwich,
Make it if you can...
This has become a family tradition for Christmas and Easter ham dinners.  It would also be good as a dipping sauce for chicken fingers.  And, yes, it's very good cold in a ham sandwich made with leftover ham!

  • Mix 1 cup sugar and 3 tsp. dry mustard
  • Add 2/3 cup vinegar
  • Fold in 3 beaten eggs
  • Boil 5-15 minutes. 
  • Add 1 T. margarine and a pinch of salt.
Note: I usually use a squirt of prepared mustard instead of dry.
