Pancake Syrup
You can call it pancake syrup, or white sauce and put it on pancakes or waffles or crepes. We like this one because it's not super sweet. If you choose to use brown sugar instead of white you get a pale brown, lightly caramel flavored sauce. Or you can use half white and half brown sugar. The recipe is from my Aunt Marilyn, whom I remember cooking up large batches of delicious food for hungry crowds.
Bring to a boil:
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups milk
Add:
3 T. flour
1 cup sugar
Bring to a boil again and cook until thick. Add 2 tsp. vanilla.
